SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP)—Notre Dame will renew basketball rivalries with UCLA and Indiana this season.

Notre Dame ended UCLA's NCAA-record 88-game winning streak in 1974. The Irish will face the Bruins for the first time since 2005 when they play at Pauley Pavilion on Feb. 7.

Indiana, which returns only one scholarship player, will play Notre Dame for the first time since 2004 as part of the Maui Invitational on Nov. 24.

Notre Dame also will play Ohio State in Indianapolis and Connecticut twice. Coach Mike Brey, who returns all but one starter and all the key reserves from last year's 25-8 squad, believes it will be one of the nation's toughest schedules.

"It certainly is the toughest in the history of our men's basketball program here at Notre Dame," he said.

The Irish enter the season riding the nation's second-longest consecutive home win streak at 37 straight. Notre Dame needs to win two games to break the school's home winning streak of 38 set in 1948.
