Buchanan, Ohio State men’s lacrosse senior, has been named the
Great Western Lacrosse League Player of the Week for the week of March
31-April 6, the conference announced Wednesday. This is the second league
award for Buchanan, a native of Cockeysville, Md., this season (March 13)
and is the fourth honor of his career.
Buchanan led the Buckeyes to two wins
last week after recording five assists and six points in each game as
Ohio State downed Bellarmine, 20-4, Wednesday and Air Force, 16-5,
Sunday. Against Bellarmine, Buchanan scored a man-up goal and assisted on
two other EMO tallies, along with three assists with the teams at even
strength. In the game vs. the Falcons, Buchanan had six points in the first
half, including a man-up goal and an EMO assist. He helped the Buckeyes
move into second nationally in man-up offense.
